Pitville Lane Enquiry

Postby selawson » 10 Nov 2012, 15:27

To anyone that can help,

I am currently studying the architecture of Portobello and wondered if anyone had any information or ideas on what the large concrete structure is on Pitville Lane? It is near the swin center beside a building which is boarded up with pigs painted on it, does anyone know what this building use to be either or if there is any possible acess to either?

Kind Regards,
Sarah.

Hi Sarah, that'll be the old water tower and the laundry for the swimming baths; see this thread from earlier in the year for some info: viewtopic.php?p=90085#p90085

Thank you, I will have a look. I have tried to contact the swim center to access the inside but no luck yet. Does anyone have an idea where I could either get some aerial photographs of the roof? I was wondering if any near by tenants would mind maybe emailing me a photo from their window? If anyone could be so kind please contact me on:

sarah.e.lawson@hotmail.co.uk

Additionally if any plans are available anywhere it would also be useful.

Kind Regards,
Sarah Lawson
