I had an email from Lawrence Marshall to remind me that the facilities at the Swim Centre are FREE this weekend following its recent refurbishment. Among other improvements the changing facilites are now unisex and the Pulse Centre has new exercise equipment. Everything is free so it's a great opportunity to try out some of the facilities you may not have used before. The Pulse Centre is great value for money compared with private health clubs and offers a range of discounted memberships.

Lawrence is even threatening to be there himself. So, assuming that the thought of your local councillor in a pair of swimming trunks isn't enough to put you off, this could be a great way to spend a cold windy Sunday and to show your support for a first class local facility at the same time.
