Don't know about the wig, but she was always immaculately dressed, taught us to be polite and never used the " belt", just wrapped our knuckles with a ruler instead!!! She was a good teacher!!

I remember Miss Reid too. She always wore that green chiffon scarf thing over her immovable hair :D . I remember Miss MacRobbie too and Mrs Buchan (she had thick black rimmed glasses). And I still sometimes see Mrs Cass. My last teacher (1974) was Mrs Wright - she was lovely.

Working backwards I reckon that I must have been in Primary 1 in year 1962/63 - so our paths may have crossed! My very first teacher was Mrs Cass, who I remember well and I can also relate to all the earlier descriptions of Miss Reid. I also remember Mr Brown the Jannie who lived in the house that used to be in the playground.

Blows my mind that I currently have kids at Towerbank after all those years!!!!!!!!!!
