It's my first post and yes it's a rant.
I wasn't able to make the switch on but it sounds like it all went to plan.
Why do we have a crappy little tree with a few strings of lights on for effect? Shameful and it's not the only small tree around town.
Why are the Christmas Lights in the High Street not on during the day? Too expensive to run they might say, cut backs! But LED lights use a small fraction of the electricity needed to power the traditional lights. And when they are on in the evening there is hardly anyone about to see them. The council is not exactly encouraging the festive cheer local traders outside the City Centre expect/need to drive extra sales at Christmas.
Other than that I love living in Porty. My family and I have been here for over a year and a half now - best move ever.
