Notice of PEDAL AGM 2012
7.30-9.30pm, Wednesday 17th October 2012
St. James’ Church Hall, Rosefield Place (off Brighton Place)

As well as continuing to run our existing projects: the market, the orchard and the turbine project, PEDAL has been looking inward looking this year, seeing how we can better use the many offers of help which come our way and reviewing our aims and ways of working. The wind turbine project has been very high profile and continues to hang in the balance, and plenty of other work has been going on alongside it. Hopefully this event will give you a taste of this breadth, to hear about what we achieved last year and exciting projects you can get involved in in the year to come. It’s also an opportunity to re-new your PEDAL membership.

All welcome!
Please bring some home-made food to share at the break if you can.

Nominations to PEDAL Board
The PEDAL Board meets monthly to oversee the company’s finances and delivery of projects, and to decide on company policy. PEDAL can have up to nine of its 12 directors elected from its members - currently there are six member directors. In line with our constitution, one-third of the member directors are standing down (but may stand for re-election). These are Lucy Anne Wiltshire, Justin Kenrick and Eva Schonveld. So there will be four spaces on the Board available for elections from the membership. Please consider nominating yourself – contact info@pedal-porty if you would like a form or download oneby clicking here.

Representation by Proxy
Members of PEDAL who are unable to attend the AGM in person may appoint a proxy to attend, speak and (in the case of ordinary members) vote on their behalf. A proxy need not be a member of the company. If you would like to appoint a proxy please write to the company secretary, Neil Woodward (n.woodward798@btinternet.com) stating the name and full postal address of the person you are appointing as your proxy.
