We had our annual trip to winter wonderland on Monday (later than anticipated - was supposed to be Boxing Day with grandfather, and then NY Day with my brother and family but poured with rain so we went to the zoo instead - don't ask :roll:

) and the ice was melting so they had to sweep off the water - I'm told they always do this in the afternoon anyway, but it really was mild that day and people were trying to skate through huge puddles of water!

Thanks guys - it certainly was a hard shot to get scrambling around the rocks at the foot of the Nelson Monument! I like the fire shots from that night better, but the site I host my photos on is down... so...

Wangi,

"The Drip" is absolutely stunning!! How long were you hovering to get that shot?

I also really like the torchlight procession shot with the silhouettes of the folks in headgear. Very atmospheric.

Thanks everyone for the comments on the drip - I'm truely surprised by it,and the fact it has made the top image this week on the site I host my images: . It took 200+ photos...!!!
