Welcome to the Local History forum. Originally this was a private hidden forum for the handful of members who volunteered to help out with a project to unearth information about Portobello's past through the Scotsman Digital Archive.

The forum has now been made available to everyone as a repository for the fruits of Rathbone's labours, for anyone else who wishes to publish their findings online, and for the community to enjoy.

The forum also hosts a growing archive of postcards of Portobello through the ages.
