Soupy had a holiday in Kefalonia, land of Captain Corelli's Mandolin

All set for lunch on the balcony, note how far away the taverna was!

Then the beach, a bit warmer than Porty

Then some traditional Greek food

Well the menu said Shirley Valentine Special- I've never eaten a cliche before :lol:

It's the Shot at Dawn memorial commemorating those British soldiers who were shot for cowardice during the First World War.

The Arboretum is worth a visit too.

that building with the glass dome and layered balconies is a lovely piece of architecture

that one deceives the eye a bit - looks like the cupola is on the side of the building rather than the usual top!

Yeah, a bit deceptive because of the extreme wide angle lens. The building is the - was disappointed the the exterior was covered in scaffolding!

I was safely behind glass for the last shot, not scaling the exterior!

Indeed. St Phillip's Church held a singalonga Sound of Music charity night. Great fun and we even managed to win the quiz! Emily loves musicals and TSOM is her favourite.

heard there was a walk up the Pentlands the other week with folk dressed as characters from SOM.
Would have loved to have seen that or the looks on the ramblers faces as they went past.
