Am I correct in thinking that one used to exit Rosefiled Park where BIE is now and step onto a sea of glass at the United Glass Works that stretched all the way to the cottages on the SP site? I know there is a debate about what's actually going to be built on the SP site but surely any residential with a modicum of light-commercial is better than what we have at the moment?
The prom is also going to change, if the Showground development is a success, surely it won't be too long before the amusements follow with a residential development?
In the last 40 or 50 Years we almost escaped the curse of concrete, we have coillesdene house, and even that's not too bad, Portobello High School, the Rosefiled properties and the ones opposite Foresters. Job Centre in Windsor Place, which may be going soon. We could have done without most of these buildings.
