Portobello Triathlon Awarded Scottish Sprint Championships

The third Portobello Open Water Triathlon will take place on Sunday 14th August 2005. Following on from the success of the last two years, this year's event has been awarded the Scottish Sprint Distance Championships. This award will result in an increased entry with most of Scotland's top triathletes taking part.

As in the last two years the triathlon will consist of a 750m sea swim from Portobello beach (at James Street), followed by a 20km cycle on roads round Portobello and a 5km run on the Promenade. Registration will take place in the Swim Centre from 7-8.30am. Further information and an entry form are available from www.edinburghracingcoop.co.uk
