I discovered an Italian version of the old Khushis last night. It's called Trattoria Siciliana, located in a basement in Union Street, has pictures on the wall of pasta dishes, none of which can be ordered, looks like a cafe and has a wee chef who, when somene questioned the sauce on their pasta, came out from the kitchen and said "well that's how I make it" FAB!

Three starters, three mains and a side salad - £30 and it was excellent, especially the anchovy bruschetta. It's bring your own bottle, no corkage charge. The food was excellent.

Remember this thread? We tried a new place in Leith last night. Dinner for two included oysters, pigeon, venison, lobster, wine and coffee. Sounds expensive? Would you believe the bill came to under £60? All beautifully cooked and friendly service. Great value - give it a go.

not been but read recent reviews and most gave it top marks.

We went to First Coast yesterday (Dalry) for their £10.50 lunch deal - main and sweet - excellent - highly recommend esp their Thai Chicken Salad - yummy

We also bumped into Bellybabe in town :D
