I had a glass of dry rose that I brought back from Greece last month. It doesn't seem to travel or age well. Seemed a good idea at the time. 2.90 euros for 1.5 litres?! And in a plastic bottle to go in the suitcase. Real class that. :roll:

Back to the mint tea for me.

Right so I need to bump up the central heating. open the window to get the sound of the waves. But where do I get that great Greek essential - the flatulent goat?

The wine will still lack that :lol:

nuance. Is now the time to say I had a very sober holiday? Only drank the free stuff.ie whe we met the rep- oh and that tour of the winery where sis -who doesn't drink poured her share into my glass... wonder when it seemed a good idea to buy the stuff.

Strange note slightly off topic. On the way out of the Uk we couldn't take anything liquid in our hand luggage. But coming from Greece we were not allowed anything in glass in the suitcase so it was 3 bottles of wine and some ouzo in the hand luggage- no problem . Jars of olives -no problem . On way out - Lipstick????!!! Please take your shoes off and be searched over there......

yes definitely found that at Edinburgh Airport on the way out it was really strict, no liquids, shoes through the security scanner etc but on the way back, I had water in my hand luggage, but the security staff were more keen on getting everyone through security at top speed.

Must admit did miss having lip balm/lipstick/hand cream/moisturiser in hand luggage.

Read this week that they are looking at no alcohol being allowed in the cabin and only 100ml of perfume being allowed. In Metro was an idea of tagging everyone flying :shock:

As a semi-nervous flyer this goes down well, not.
