Try this that I just got, courtesy of elsewhere. For some reason it loads the page about half way down, so scroll to the top to get what you need!
Top tip - do not include the quotation marks in the address bar - just type it in as it is. When you want to change the settings as it suggests, just scroll down to the relevant entry and double click. That gives you a box to type in your required entry.
Now all I need to do is work out which setting to change to allow the Private Messaging to work correctly...
ps: no doubt an administrator type dude will let me know if these settings hurt the server or the bandwidth costs or any other technical stuff?
