Many thanks to ecm and Marya for enquiring about the video - short answer - it went down a storm
But I'll post more about it on the 'Yippee - Old Scores' thread, as you were asking about it on there .......
(This is very confusing

)
Had a lovely break - Christmas in Enfield with my mother and sister, when we all did as little as possible. As a veggie, I am not going to get into the 'How much turkey did you eat' thread - but our home-made nut roast was delicious. And I LIKE Brussel sprouts. I have them all the time, in season, not just Christmas!
The only time we exerted ourselves, once the pre-Christmas efforts were over was to go and see 'Blithe Spirit' with Penelope Keith as Madame Arcati, at the Savoy, followed by our usual meal at our favourite Italian restuarant, on The Strand. Almost had a wee hitch there - we couldn't find it!

And we've been going there for years! Turned out it had renamed itself and re-done the exterior and interior decor, because the younger generation have taken over. Thankfully, it hasn't spoilt the food,

or the superb, friendly service, and only put the prices up a wee bit. I can recommend it to anyone looking for a meal in central London - now called 'Stranded' (pun on the fact it's on The Strand and it's a good place to take refuge if you are stranded in the big city!

) - about half-way down on the right hand side as you walk down from the Aldwych ........
But don't try having coffee in the Savoy Hotel, unless you want a heart-attack! Superb coffee, hand-made biscuits - £5 a head!

I suppose it was worth it for the surroundings - the Ladies had piles of linen hand-towels, and a basket to dispose of them in! very Agatha Christie!
Then back here briefly, and straight off to Furness to spend New Year with My Other Half

- mainly in the pub

!
So back to reality

- and work .................
........... when our system will let me!
I'll try to read the rest of the threads and see what everyone else's Festivities were like ...........
