well I got a beautiful rose plant

and two cards - one homemade at nursery (my baby daughter is so talented with glitter lol) and a lovely card hand-delivered (or rather mouth-delivered - she was particularly keen to eat the pink envelope ) this morning

I was most pleased

Youngest made a daffodil (no, that can't be right....grew? Picked? Was handed by nursery teacher?) at nursery on Friday, or so I assume, but he didn't bring it home even though every other child did. Eldest I vaguely remember made something at Beavers - not a vase though, ecm, I'm sooo jealous - so jealous I can't even remember what it was eldest made . But yesterday we got nothing. When they came through to the bedroom we pointed out it was mothers' day, and gave a long lecture about how kind we always were to our mothers, so eldest brought me a cup of tea, and as he didn't know what to do he brought other half a bottle of wine! I felt this was grossly unfair, even if it was too early to drink it...

Well Epykitten the Horrible gave me a lovely bunch of flowers - he said 'there's a bunch of flowers in the sink' as he flew out of the door. COC gave me the excuse that she thought it was on Monday
