Mine's a toss up between; cleaning out the box-cutting machines at Thynes the box makers, during the Trades shutdown and working in Pik'n Save at Piershill(now Iceland). The former involved working with liquid paraffin all day so you stunk to high heaven, the latter; the boss was called Piggy O'Rourke and was a complete ****.
A milk boy at the Baronscourt Dairy was no barrel of laughs either. One had to wheel a muckle barrow with all the glass bottles of milk in it for waht seemed like miles at a godawful time of the morning.
