This is what it says about shops and frontage - not very great (and not a great deal of improvement since 2002)
"Although there are shopfronts of historic or architectural quality, the majority are
modern replacements in timber or metal which, for the most part, incorporating
poor quality and badly proportioned signage. A number of shops are vacant and
boarded up."
What I don't knw is where someone would see what our community wants their high street to look like - how should the frontage look, what a re the standards. So the traders get any help with this or are they left to find out for themselves?
