Just read an interesting article in today's SOS At Home section. The big 7 bedroom flat on the Promenade that is up for sale is featured in the magazine and the present owners Mr/Mrs Magill are interviewed.

Apparently they have bought the Bedford and, as well as living on the top 2 floors, they plan to convert the ground floor to a bar/restaurant. No clue as to what type of restaurant is planned but as Mrs Magill is bemoaning the lack of a quality restaurant in Porty I assume it probably isn't going to be another Chinese takeaway :wink:

Certainly something I'm going to look forward to visiting. It would be good to have an upmarket type restaurant in Porty, especially if it's on the Prom and we could spend a night or two sitting outside with a post-dinner drink

I hope Dalriada doesn't stand for "Back to frozen fayre in 6 weeks time" but lets face it, the odds are stacked....

Would like to go along tonight - however, we're looking after my step-grandaughter (emphasis on the step in case anyone actually thinks I'm old enough to be grannie!) tonight. Hope to make it along soon though

We went there for coffee this morning and sat outside. It looks really good - nice people and good family atmosphere with their kids sitting with us then giving us a tour of the inside. They said they had over 200 people there last night. Well done to them!

Great to have this in Portobello.
