It's part of the same picture that lets developers put in application after application after application until they get a consent.

It's a part of the planning system that has become tailored to suit the 'professionals' on each 'side' and that completely steamrollers individual citizens, despite the best efforts of a lot of individual planning officers.

Totally agree with the above...it makes a complete mockery of the system. The MSP for Glasgow Cathcart was unable to give a cogent reply when asked on Newsnight Scotland last night why they had gone to the trouble and public expence of a public inquiry when they were going to overrule the result anyway. They should be called to account or, better still, Nichol Steven, or whoever made the decision, should be made to pay the cost of the inquiry out of his own pocket.
