Thanks everyone. The last time I was mentioned in the Evening News was when I were a lad

I even had a photo of me and my pal on the front page. Some guy was trying to drown 4 small puppies in the lagoons in Musselburgh and we saved them

A full page picture of us was also on page 3 of the Daily Record.

Yes, Bob!

"The midget submarines are XT-Craft, training versions of the X-Craft that attacked the Tirpiz in 1942. In 1946 two of these vessels were towed to Aberlady Bay and moored to a large concrete block, then used as target practice and gun tests by RAF aircraft. Afterwards their badly damaged remains were simply left to rot.

The wrecks have a very poignant feel today. The more southerly of the two is the slightly better preserved, and gives a real sense of the size and shape of the original vessel. It is difficult to imagine four men working underwater in the remarkably confined space of the hull."

More especially about the tides!

I couldn't believe my eyes this morning. I lifted up the blind in my living room and this little guy was curled up in the front garden, right outside the window, enjoying the warm sun. The first photo is taken from inside the house, but the next I took while outside, seconds before he became aware of me and ran off.

It explains why our cat is so reluctant to go out these days!

That wee midget sub has a big brother logo on it. Have had wet feet from trudging out to see them...

Hello. Haven't posted for some time, but thought you might like to see what we had to put up with in Ottawa this winter.

To put things into perspective; the person in the first image is my son and he is almost 6 feet tall; the vehicle is a Dodge Caravan, but the snow makes it look like a Mini.
