Thanks- and in that case it definitely has been there for 40 years. I was about 8 and my mum took my brother and I in there for a treat. We both got coca cola in the traditional glass bottle. I somehow managed to suck the straw and made the juice shoot up my throat and down my nose. It was horrible. St Andrews must also have been on the high street for more than 40 years. They used to charge 3d for a poke of chips or 80 pokes for £1 in todays money!

The Tea Room closed a wee while ago - after "yet another flood" it was not possible to keep trading according to the notice in the window.

When we were waiting for our lift to the Dog and Cat home on Christmas morning I had a peek. It's going to be a flooring shop, specialising in hardwood floors. Might do better as that's not an impulse buy !!Not the best location.If Wisteria Lane had been in Morningside or Stockbridge it would probably still be there.
