Where on Earth are you?

I imagine a lot of you will be holiday. Are you managing to keep in touch with what is happening back home, or are you enjoying a week or two away from talkporty?

The Jeffersons are having a staycation this summer. We had a week in rainy Shropshire and we are now in the equally rainy Lake District. Where on Earth are you?

I am still in sunny (and it has been!) Porty but in a couple of weeks Mr E and I are going to a remote cottage remotely near Thurso for a remote week away alone together. No neighbours, no telly, probably no phone signal and definitely no computer.

Are more people staying in this country this year - it seems a lot of my friends and aquaintances are.

Holidaying at home or outwith the Eurozone it would seem. Egypt and Turkey are both popular - both a bit too hot for me. Despite the rain, I still managed to get sunburnt a couple of days ago.

China - Texas - Northumberland & home - Germany - home - Texas (or maybe Mexico or China) - home - Croatia ...

Really liked Northumberland... It's like an extension of East Lothian.

I've had my 3 week round Europe in the VW camper , just back a couple of weeks ago... feels like years ago now

Got a log cabin booked in Comrie for September though

Just back from 2 weeks in Turkey. It was 40º C when we left.

Nothing much has changed at home it seems - cloudy, with outbreaks of rain and the bin is still on the pavement, waiting to be emptied.
