To be brutally honest with you all - having witnessed a cyclist get knocked off his bike and crushed by an artic about 23 years ago in Strood in Kent while the lorry driver hadnt a clue he'd done it and drove off you should be bothered about artics on our narrow streets. The horror of that Friday lunchtime and seeing the state of the guy while he died in front of all of us who were trying to help him before the ambulance arrived is still parked at the back of my brain somewhere. He was young just like many of you and left a devastated family - and all because a lorry cut a corner.

Seems a bit narrow minded to suggest that cars are not part of our every day life. You may have a job that is within pedal distance. I don't. Doctors, ambulances, social workers, nurses, health visitors, midwives, housing officers, police officers, gardeners, painters, joiners, roofers, plasterers, etc you get the drift. The list is long, limited only by the imagination.
All of the above are either people who need to be lots of places quickly or have stuff to transport. Some of them will cycle when they have time. Some of them won't. To suggest that it is a lifestyle choice ( if that is what you are suggesting) to own and want to park a car near your home seems narrow minded and high minded.
A day in the shoes of others n all that. As far as I am concerned all those endorphins appear to be clouding your judgement.
