My, my. Think of the cookies I could have been baking over the last 30 years or so if I had only followed these young ladies example.

Yet another "only in America" news item




"US politicians fed up with catching an eyeful of underwear want to fine those who won't hitch up their trousers.

The Virginia state house has voted to outlaw the trend of wearing trousers so low that underwear hangs over the top.

Delegates said the habit, popular across the US and in other Western countries, was "coarsening" society.

But others hit back, urging legislators to remember their own "fashion follies" and saying the law would be used mostly against black people.

The house adopted the "droopy drawers" bill by a margin of 60-34."

Glasga were not picking on you guys in particular... many good things have come out of the US (the light bulb, sewing machine and artificial heart to name a few)...Just some stuff that seems really weird to the UK has also come out of the US.
The solar panels would be a good addition to power and has been tried successfully in the summer.... unfortunately the 6 hours of daylight in the winter and high rate of overcast skies, mean it will never be self sufficient (I would love to see solar power more mainstream worldwide, but until costs come down...or the Scotland develops more winter daytime hours, its not cost effective) Time to get a solar mirror!

Strangely I saw a program on TV similar to the chip fat fuel story, which was a wonderful idea until It mentioned that if even 50 people in one reasonable sized town of 1/2 million had this technology (1/1000th of a percent of the population) and drove an average distance every day...there would be a massive used vegetable oil shortage.... so if you do get one...DONT TELL ANYONE!!

And to help some people out 1 cup = 225 ml or 8 oz
