Hmm, Bennetts is about a 38 second stroll from chez magnolia but we turned against it a while back when it installed a large 'sports' screen - which seemed to drive a lot of other folk away too. Strange thing the pub game.

I hope you and husband-to-be managed to keep your mutual excitement under control whilst actually at work? Wouldn't want to put the punters off their drink!

Nope, I won't be dancing this time. Firstly, none of us were asked this year (although we were there last year); secondly, if we had been asked, I couldn't have done it because of other half being in Dorset. And thirdly because after normal sunday football on the beach there's a birthday thing the kids are invited to stay on for.
So i'll be out and about on the beach but I won't be wearing anything sparkly today!

Sorry, I catch up with this after the weekend, not being on-line at home. Saturday night, I too was a.) tired and emotional, and b.) slobbing out in front of the telly.

Sunday, I had been looking forward to PODD-ing on the Prom., and keeping a jay-eye open for any spladooshing that might be going on, but:-

on Sunday morning, the washing-machine broke down, mid-wash
on Sunday afternoon, the central heating refused to come on, so I couldn't dry the aforementioned wash
on Sunday night, the loo-cistern went into 'continual-fill' mode, AFTER I had gone to bed, and while sleepily trying to stem the flow, I managed to disintegrate the ball-cock .....
and then all the cold water in the bathroom stopped ......

...... so sadly, I never got to the Prom.

What a great sunday you seem to have had, jay! But I think you can be arrested for doing things to disintegrate sily little schoolboys ...

Don't get me started on washing machines. We've been two months without a properly working one thanks to Comet's wonderful extended warranties and fantastic service. They're supposedly coming to fix the not-working brand new one (second brand new one, at that) today.

I can feel the steam building up behind my ears already.

I'm lucky enough to live VERY near the laundrette, (now), so when the central heating failed me, I did have another option. But you must find it very difficult, since you have children to wash for .........

My mother always told me never, never interfere with the bee, ay, double ell, hyphen, see, oh, see, kay - I should have taken notice of what mother said - having the dee ay em, en thing disintegrate last thing at night ..........
